John and I love hummus. The only kind we have found worth purchasing is at Trader Joes, and it's their Mediterranean Hummus. Other than that, you just can't beat making a great batch of hummus at home. Here's the recipe I have evolved from other recipes...
1 can garbonzo beans (& the juice)
1/2 can white beans
3 tablespoons tahini
Juice of half a lemon
2 cloves garlic (or 2 tsp store bought minced garlic in a jar)
1 tsp salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
Blend. Eat.
I like to put in white beans to aid in a creamier texture, which I like.
