icky day

its so humid that i'm grossed out by it. whats even weirder is that some people actually like it. because it "moisturizes their skin." i can't wait for fall when it will get dryer. hopefully. it was actually nice today. it was kinda raining on and off so it was cool outside. and cloudy- and you all should know how much i like cloudy days. 17 days til we go to portland- hopefully it's nice and cloudy there.

john and i had already planned on going to the outdoor blues concert they hold downtown almost every thursday. i was going to make some burgers and potato wedges for dinner before we left. well, our oven here at this new rental house has not been working since we moved in. we are suppossedly getting a new one shortly. hopefully before this weekend so i can make my yummy spaghetti casserole. anyway- i was using my toaster oven to make the potato wedges, like i did last week and they turned out fine. well i wasn't watching them and they burned a little bit. just enough to make them yucky. i had enough and i said forget it. we went downtown a little early and got some nachos from a mexican food restaurant. i will not go back there again, that's all i have to say. but we also got a pizza slice from cottage inn and that was yummy.

daphne had fun. she danced like always, played with everyone elses dogs, and ran all over. the music was great. we left early, just before it started to rain pretty heavily. i put daphne to bed and have been studying ever since.

oh, and daphne gave me a cold. she got a runny nose yesterday, now i'm sick too. yay.
