the cycle

i figured out not too long ago that there was a very interesting yet subtle cycle happening with all the women of my age in my family. There is me, my sister in law (my brother's wife) brooke, my other sisters in law lydia and lisa (older twin sisters of john) and my step sister in law, erin (john's step sister). we are all in the same age brackett of about 3 years. first erin was pregnant with andrew, and when she gave birth to him, me and brooke became pregnant. when we had our babies- it actually fell right after i had daphne, lydia became pregnant with her son kiran. when she had kiran, lisa became pregnant with her son thomas who is yet to be born. he should actually be born any day now, lisa is currently in labor i believe. SO... the pattern, or cycle, is that when someone gives birth, someone else becomes pregnant. it's true! it happened 5 times!

now when i presented this "cycle" to the Terry women, lisa had just become pregnant i believe, and it was hinted that the cycle would just start over again. but erin exclaimed that she was out of the cycle and would NOT be the next one getting pregnant... lydia also informed us that she would not be the next to get pregnant again either. well, it would be impossible for lisa to be the next since she would be the one giving birth, and that left me and brooke. crap... i am not planning on getting pregnant at all, but the cycle is so strong! who even knows??? but in all seriousness, i thought about it, and had talked to brooke and she mentioned how she wanted to get pregnant but weren't planning on it, etc etc... so i rationalized it out and assumed that the cycle had run its course and perhaps it was over.

but alas! Brooke announced last week that she is pregnant and due march 13th! The cycle continues! this was announced just one week before lisa went into labor. who will be next??? all you women that are mentioned here that are reading this... you can never be too sure. this cycle is strong, and has been proven for over 2 years now. YOU COULD BE NEXT!

this was the message brooke sent out to spread the news!

not to mention that there are, i believe, FIVE other girlfriends of mine that are pregnant and due in March here in Lansing. John and I will be sleeping in seperate beds for the remainder of the month...

oh, and i guess i should mention some cute things about daphne. she has learned to say "oh no!" and "i dont know". she dropped something down the stairs and exclaimed "oh no!". and i was trying to teach her animal noises a couple days ago. i was trying to teach her what the cow says. i would say "daphne, what does the cow say?" over and over again. and she finally said "i dont know." how is it that she learned THAT instead of "moo"??? beats me.
