making grown up choices

growing up i would notice how my mom drank diet soda religiously. i always thought she was weird and vowed to never do it myself.

so, on top of drinking diet soda religiously myself, i have made a choice today that i thought i would just never do. i ran by mcdonalds to get daphne a cheeseburger for lunch when i noticed i hadn't eaten lunch either. john is trying really hard to loose weight and get in shape these days, and i have joined him. i am trying really hard to make wise choices about what i eat. so today at mcdonalds, i didn't get a double cheeseburger, or fries... i got a GRILLED CHICKEN sandwich.

i never get chicken sandwiches when i have the option to have beef, let along a GRILLED one. if anything i'll get the ones with the crispy crust which makes the health status of the chicken sandwich disappear. but today i did it. and it was good.


in other news obama finally won the democratic nomination and i couldn't be happier. and i don't care what anyone else thinks about that. he's the best choice, if you're gonna piss and moan about it- then YOU go run for president!
