What a weekend!

our weekend started out with a bang with a trip to Pontiac. a couple months ago i bought a concert ticket to see dashboard confessional. at that time john had class on friday nights so i was either going to go by myself or with whoever wanted to go with me. well, no one ended up wanting to go with me. but, john ended up getting his class changed from friday night to monday night. so instead of staying home, john decided to come with me with daphne and kinda do a daddy daughter date while i was at the concert. daphne and john went out to a pizza restaurant among other things and had a really great time. the concert i attended was pretty good. it ended pretty late and i was really tired afterword. daphne and i fell asleep in the car on the way home.

the next day we finally made it out to uncle john's cider mill. it's about 30 min north of lansing and on that day they had all of their attractions for free! so we ended up going on a good day. we went with the poussons, martins, finleys, and majors. it was a total blast. we sampled a lot of the good food there such as freshly made donuts and cider, fudge, breads, and dips. we also got some hot dogs for lunch and some cookies from the bakery to snack on for the ride home. i highly recommend their choclate filled chocolate chip cookies. we got to go on a tractor ride and some kind of train ride and we also did a teetor toter. daphne loved that and didn't want to get off!

we also ended up going to a jimmy eat world concert. natalie koestar was kind enough to sit at our house while daphne slept for john and i to spend the night rockin out! the concert was at msu and was probably one of the best i've been to. the music rocked, they played a great variety of their songs, AND it was seated! which to some might seem like a weird thing to be excited about, but i love it because i am getting old and can't seem to tolerate to stand an entire concert anymore! so i was able to sit for a good portion in the middle. that concert was so awesome.
today was what i like to call "mcdonalds monday". erika called everyone up and some of us decided to spice up our monday at good ol' mcd's. it was great and a fine way to make monday fun! i think we should make it a weekly-monday thing. what do ya say erika!?!?!
