we are so living in the ghetto

so there's a few things to write about today. first of all, i did something really dumb yesterday. i didn't know it was dumb until after i did it though. i bought the store brand of benadryl at target the other day, cuz i have really bad allergies. so i took one yesterday morning before i went to the gym. it was about 7 am. well, after breakfast at about 9 am, i was sooooo tired! i felt like i hadn't gone to sleep in days. i haven't felt that tired in soooo long. luckily john was home and i had him take care of daphne for a couple hours because i just couldn't do anything. i was on the couch trying to sleep for a couple hours. i didn't really fall asleep, but the rest did help. i got up and drank a soda and that pulled me through until the medicine wore off. i'm never taking that again! maybe i'll give it to daphne when we fly home for christmas ;-)

another thing is that my dad is coming to town this weekend. he should be getting here on saturday night. i don't remember when he's leaving though. i'm excited for him to be here and get to see daphne. but like i said in a previous blog, he is coming up to go hunting with john. well, john still needs a hunting license. he was planning on getting it when my dad comes up. john and i were watching the news just a minute ago and noticed something pretty weird. they were talking about how government services are being shut down as of October 1st. Michigan is so poor, that the state government are shutting down unnecessary services. i think just vital services are staying open like police, teachers, and fire fighters. we are SO living in the ghetto. so, they aren't doing the lottery, selling liquor, they aren't even going to issue drivers licenses or renew registration, OR issue hunting licenses. so i think john is going to try to get one before this all happens. michigan is such a ghetto. this only reassures my prior feeling of NOT wanting to stay in michigan. anyone who does currently live here and is not planning on moving- good luck!!!

here's a cute story about daphne. she saw john and i kiss on the couch earlier tonight. she was sitting on our laps, and after she saw us, she pushed our heads together to kiss again, and then she would pull them apart. and then she would push them together and pull them apart again. she did this like 1o times. i think i was laughing more than kissing! but whenever i ask her for a kiss she pushes her forehead to my face to kiss it. she wont let me kiss her on the mouth or cheeks. she is just too funny.

tomorrow night is the season premier of The Office. i'm so excited i can hardly wait. so, daphne is getting bigger, it's getting cooler, and fall is around the corner. 'til next time.
