I can't believe October is here starting tomorrow! And I can't believe it's fall! I love fall. I'm sure you've all seen how the leaves are changing to beautiful colors- especially here in lansing.
My dad got here last night at around 10 pm. We kept daphne up so she could see him. We met him out in the front yard and my dad got out and had a Pooh bear stuffed animal and held it out to Daphne. she walked up to him and took the bear and said "thank you" and walked away. it was so funny.

the picture above- this pose is a sure way to get daphne to look at the camera, the first time! i thought it was cute.
So I'm trying to get her sleeping schedule somewhat normal now. She stayed up til like 11 last night, and then i think we woke her up at 9:30, and then she didn't take a nap today. So i just put her down at 7:30 tonight. I'm gonna aim for 7:30-7:30 for her sleeping schedule this week. we'll see how that goes.
Daphne was so WIGGLY in sacrament today! It was driving me nuts! The last few weeks she has done fantastic, she wouldn't cry, want to go out, or anything. she would just sit there on our laps. But this week she regressed a little. I think it was just cuz my dad was here. Oh, speaking of that. My dad forgot his church clothes, so he went and bought a shirt, but he wore it with his jeans and tennis shoes! he looked like an investigator. it was pretty funny. While I was making dinner tonight my dad sat out front with daphne and they just chilled out front and fed squirrels. it was very cute and was able to snap a picture from behind. but when i went to get one from the front, she got up and wouldn't sit back down. oh well, i'll get more pictures.
So then while i was waiting for dinner to bake, daphne was on the stairs playing. she's been doing this thing the last couple of days where she likes to carry her biggest toys up and down the stairs. like this toy vaccum she has and a push and ride toy. they are totally too big for her to be carrying around, let alone carrying them up and down the stairs. she'll also sit on the top stairs playing with her toys too. anyway, i was sitting here on the couch and john was napping on the couch and i heard something very large falling down the stairs. i look up and one of her toys is tumbling down the stairs and daphne is following it! she wasn't going too fast, and stopped half way down. she was a little startled, but didn't cry. it was really funny actually. gotta keep an eye on her with those toys!
so, john and my dad are going to be doing a lot of hunting this week. and if they catch anything than i have to eat it.... i'm not particularly looking forward to eating deer, because i have this preconceived notion that it won't taste good. well, if it does taste good, than i'll be eating my words. along with some deer meat.
til next time!

Alaura would tumble down the stairs all the time if we had them. She's fallen down mom and dad's a few times. She's too daring. I love the pickaf Daph and Dad.
